Who intermediaries are
Intermediaries are the people who help a party with a deal: preparing the negotiation, connecting the parties or doing other work for it. They can be intermediaries, mandataries, brokers, financers, investors or traders.
Intermediary commissions
Each party decides what commission to pay its own intermediaries, as a percentage or a fixed amount. These commissions are an agreement between each party and its intermediaries. They are not IGT fees (see IGT fees and invoices).
Only registered intermediaries receive commissions
An intermediary only receives a commission if they are registered in the Intermediaries section of the partnership, by one of the parties. An intermediary who is not registered there will not receive any commission.
Registering an intermediary
- The intermediary needs an IGT account with active access (a subscription or a redeemed cheque). If they do not have one yet, send them your referral link so they can sign up and subscribe.
- In the Intermediaries section, add them with the email of their IGT account and choose their role.
- Set their commission (percentage or amount).
Each person can only be registered once per project, for one of the parties.
Who sees what
- Each party only sees its own intermediaries, not the other party's.
- Your intermediaries can follow the partnership, but documents are confidential by default: they only see the documents you choose to share with them.
- Only the party who registered an intermediary can remove them. The coordinator can also adjust their commission.
Questions
If you are not sure whether an intermediary is correctly registered, ask your coordinator or open a support ticket.
