Disputes and reporting a user

Platform Guide Updated Oct 07, 2026

Two different tools

  • Dispute: for a conflict inside a partnership, such as a breach of contract or a payment that does not arrive. Your coordinator or an IGT administrator mediates it.
  • Report: for a person's conduct, such as fraud, spam or inappropriate behaviour, whether or not you have a partnership with them. The IGT team reviews it.

Opening a dispute

  1. Open the partnership's Workspace and go to the Disputes tab.
  2. Click Open dispute.
  3. Choose the reason: Breach of contract, Lack of communication, Payment issue, Quality issue or Other.
  4. Describe the conflict. Facts, dates and concrete details help the mediation.

When you open it, your partner, your coordinator and the IGT team receive a notification and an email.

How a dispute moves forward

Status What it means
Open The dispute is registered and the parties can write in it.
In mediation The mediator has started working on it.
Resolved The mediator has closed it and written the resolution: the agreement, the actions taken and the next steps.
Dismissed The mediator reviewed it and closed it without a resolution.

While it is Open or In mediation, you, your partner and the mediator can write in the mediation thread. You get a notice whenever there are new messages.

The mediator is the coordinator assigned to the partnership or an IGT administrator. Intermediaries do not see the Disputes tab.

If the contract is not honoured

If the dispute confirms that one member did not honour the contract, the RWA fee rules apply: the share that the defaulting member paid compensates the member who did honour it. See IGT fees and invoices.

Reporting a user

  1. Click Report on the person's profile or in your conversation in Messages.
  2. Choose the reason: Inappropriate behavior, Violation of terms, Fraud or scam, Spam, False information or Other.
  3. Describe what happened in as much detail as you can and click Send report.

Reports are confidential: the reported person does not know who reported them. You can only have one open report against the same person.

What happens after you report

The IGT team reviews the report and lets you know when it has been resolved or dismissed. Depending on the case, it may take no action, send a warning, suspend the account temporarily or permanently, or propose a mediation.

Tips

  • Try talking to the other party in the Workspace first: many problems are solved that way.
  • Upload any evidence you have, such as invoices, emails or receipts, to the Documents tab of the Workspace.
  • If there is an urgent risk, such as possible fraud, report the person and also open a support ticket.
